ABOUT
IMPERAZINE is a fanzine inspired by Ghost's fourth studio album Impera for its first-year anniversary.This way, we decided to create a collaborative zine so we can all show our appreciation for Papa Emeritus IV work and what it means to us as fans - and artists.Each artist will be creating a singular work inspired by one of the 12 songs in the album.
FAQ
- What's a zine?
A zine - or fanzine - is a self-published; unofficial booklet containing original work around a theme. In this case, fandom-related themes.- How many pieces should i link as a portfolio?
Three to four. You don't necessarily need to link Ghost-related works, whatever you feel that represents your work the best, is welcome.
If you have cloud based portfolios or websites, please link accordingly and make sure access to your work is free.
We will only be using this as a form of checking your an artist, not to judge your work!- I don't draw digitally, is that a problem?
Not a problem at all! If you can scan your finished piece in high quality, it's welcome.- How do i claim a song?
We will be organizing a claiming process after the sign-ups are closed. First come, first serve.
If the demand for the same song is high, we will be organizing a draw for those who claimed secondly. - What’s the zine format?
It hasn’t been determined yet if it’s only digital or print, but as soon as settled, will be announced. - Do i need to be 18+ to participate?
Yes. We will be checking ages, as a way of keeping everyone as safe as possible. Please, be considerate and only apply if an adult.

DATES AND DEADLINES
- DECEMBER 1st: applications open
- DECEMBER 15th: applications close
- DECEMBER 22nd: email confirmation for contributors
- DECEMBER 23rd: song claiming
- JANUARY 23rd: first check-in
- FEBRUARY 23rd: second check-in
- MARCH 4th: final deadline
It's expected for artists to send WIPs, sketches, photos, and scans of their work until the final deadline when the finished piece is due.
If you have any questions that were not answered in the FAQ, you can ask in the Zine's Tumblr blog inbox. We will be answering and posting them to our other social media so, if anyone else shares the same questions, they can be answered accordingly.You can always reach out to one of the mods, and we will be happy to find a solution to your problems.
